Plymouth Hospitals NHS is the largest hospital Trust in the South West peninsula. The Trust provides a full range of acute and tertiary healthcare services to around 450,000 people across Plymouth, North and East Cornwall and South and West Devon.
Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust aims to achieve a 2.5% DNA (Did Not Attend) rate across the board – for both new appointments and follow-ups – by 2013. If the improvement target is met, it will represent huge monetary savings for a Trust engaged in a concerted drive to achieve greater efficiency via a five-year continuous improvement programme, known as Vanguard.
“The net income saving for the Trust, in one month, after all service costs have been taken into account, was £47,095.”
